Bill Knirck Scholarship Winner
Year: 2008 Monica Wittreich
Monica Wittreich will be attending Eastern Washington University. During her student-athlete career at Hanford High School (HHS) which included two major knee surgeries that required an intensive rehabilitation effort, Monica has decided to pursue Pre-Med/Physical Therapy in college.

Monica was a four year letterman in soccer and was a Team Captain her senior season. Monica was also recognized by her team by receiving the Falcon Pride Award and led her team in goals scored. The most memorable game for Monica was when she returned from a knee injury that required intensive therapy and scored a hat trick (three goals). The coach, players, and parents were crying, laughing and cheering!

Monica earned an Athletic Honor cord and graduated with a 3.7 grade point average. Monica has also volunteered for HHS Booster fundraisers, Key Club, and church activities. Monica is another great example of a Falcon student-athlete.
