Lawrence's Exarhos earns academic all-district honor

APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University women's soccer standout Annemarie Exarhos has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District 5 team.

A junior defender from Hanford High School in Richland, Wash., Exarhos was chosen for the second team. Exharos has a 3.470 grade point average and is a physics major and mathematics minor.

Also a member of the Academic All-Midwest Conference team, Exarhos finished second on the team with four goals and nine assists. The former standout at Hanford High School is on the Dean's List and was named to Lambda Sigma, Lawrence's sophomore honor society.

Exarhos helped Lawrence to a 5-8-1 record, including a 4-4-1 mark in Midwest Conference play.

Exarhos was selected from among dozens of student-athletes competing in NCAA Divisions II and III and NAIA from schools in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Ontario, and Manitoba. The selections come from balloting done by sports information directors in District 5.
