Hanford Champion
Year: 1974
Team: Track (Boys)
Name: Dennis Dudley (Pole Vault = 15'4" - State Record)
STATE CHAMPION
Dennis Dudley was a standout track athlete for the Falcons. Dennis was a member of the first Hanford High School graduating class in 1974 having entered the new school in the Fall of 1972. Dennis was a three-sport student-athlete, participating in football, basketball, and track. In the Spring of 1973, the first ever Falcon track team sent several athletes to the State Meet. Dennis won the pole vault with an amazing height of 15'4". For many years, that mark was the State record. Dennis' accomplishments as a Falcon put the State on notice that the "new" Hanford High School is here and ready to battle. Dennis also held the pole vault record in the well-attended Pasco Invite, and to this day, Dennis holds the school record in the pole vault.
