The Hanford girls golf team finished third Wednesday at the Class 3A state tournament held on Liberty Lake Golf Course near Spokane. The field of 80 players was cut to 40 after Tuesday's opening round. Hanford's qualifying team included Taylor Kain-Godoy, Kelsey Aiello, Katie Stephens and Bri Hadler. Kain-Godoy, Aiello and Hadler placed in the top 20 to earn 71 points. STATE TOURNAMENT SUMMARY (MAY 26, 2011)

Taylor Kain-Godoy's 15th place finish led Hanford to third place in the team standings during the Class 3A girls golf state championships at Liberty Lake Golf Course.

Kain-Godoy shot a 15-over 85 during the second round to finish with a two-day total of 171. Teammate Kelsey Aiello finished tied for 17th at 173 and Bri Hadler was 19th with 174, as the Falcons earned a team trophy.

Pasco's Neydeen Martinez led all area qualifiers, shooting an 86 in the second round to finish in 14th place with 171.

Mercer Island won the team title with 90.5 points, while Mt. Spokane was second with 77 points.

Peninsula's Rachel Lewis won the medalist title with a 145.
