Meg Barker   Sotball Class of 2004

Meg’s name dominates Hanford’s pitching records with just cause. A four year starter, from 01-04, Meg owned the Mid-Valley from the pitching circle. She is at the top of six pitching categories: Most wins in a season (23) ’03 ’04, most K’s (217) ’04 and most innings pitched (168) ’04. For career records: Most wins (71), most K’s (551) and I.P. (511). She tossed six no-hitters in her career and made the 3A All-Star Team in 2003. Meg was also an accomplished hitter and fielder as well. Meg took her game to the next level as she continued to play ball at Queen’s University in North Carolina. Meg was not the most over powering pitcher to come through Hanford, but her willingness to work hard and compete at a high level made her the most successful pitcher to wear purple and gold.
