Max Collins   Football, Basketball, and Track Class of 2005

Max Collins is the best Tight End to ever play football at Hanford High School. Max displayed exceptional athleticism in multiple areas of the game on offense – he could physically maul and bury an opponent while blocking for a run play and on the next play he would effortlessly run by defenders on a pass route and make a spectacular catch. As a result of his dominant performance on the gridiron in 2004, Max earned All-State recognition as a Tight End for the Falcons. Furthermore, Max had tremendous ability on the defensive side of the ball – he made significant contributions to the team and was an impact player in the Mid-Valley League from his Defensive End position. Although Max was blessed with outstanding physical tools, the Coaching Staff was most impressed with his evolution as a young man in the Program. Max made the commitment to develop all the elements required to be successful on the field – he practiced with energy and purpose, wanted coaching to improve as a player, was a fierce competitor, and established a leadership role with relentless work ethic.

Max was also an integral part of two very good Hanford Basketball teams during both his junior and senior year. Max helped lead the Falcons to a 24-5 record his senior year and an 8th place finish at the State tournament.

Max was an exceptional Falcon Football player and continues to be a valued representative of Hanford High School.
