Chris Busselman   Football and Track Class of 1987

Chris Busselman is one of the most outstanding football players to have played for the Falcons. Along with strength and agility, Chris's understanding of the total game was exceptional. Chris started for three years, was the quarterback of the offensive line, and played the part of coach on the field. Chris' drive to excel led to not only an outstanding football career, but also to being a State Champion shot putter. Chris was the type of player who gave everything he had on the field. The dedication, work ethic,, and perserverance Chris Busselman exhibited is an inspiration to all. As a coach, you could always depend on Chris to get the job done.

Chris was an outstanding thrower for the Falcons from 1983 through 1987. Chris participated in the the shotput at the well-attended Pasco Invitational four times, placing each time. In his junior and senior seasons, Chris won District titles in the shotput and placed in the discus. During his senior year, Chris lost only once in the shotput, set a school record in both the discuss (166 feet) and shotput (57 feet, 11 inches), and won the State shotput title. Chris attended Eastern Washington University on a football scholarship.
