Jim Castleberry   Football Class of 1983

Jim "Jimmy" Castleberry was an intense, competitve football player. His fiery attitude and desire to be the best helped the Falcons become Mid-Valley League champions. Jimmmy led by example and always gave his best effort on the gridiron. One game that stands out in Jim's career is a game that decided the Mid-Valley League conference championship against the Prosser Mustangs. The Mustang Coach had publicly stated that the Falcons could not score on his team. Jimmy took this as a personal challenge, and by the end of the night, Hanford was victorious.

Jim was also a tough player who played through injuries that would keep most players sidelined, such as when he suited up and played with a broken toe in Hanford's playoff run in 1983. Jimmy Castleberry will be remembered by the Falcon community for his commitment, his toughness, and his iron will to succeed.
