Jill Greenfield   Basketball Class of 1977

Jill Greenfield was a pioneer in girls sports at Hanford High School in the seventies. In those days, Title IX was just starting and increasing girls participation in interscholastic athletics. Jill, who was nearly six foot tall participated in volleyball, basketball, and track at Hanford High School. She graduated in 1977, after averaging eighteen points per game in her senior year and being named an All-State Basketball player. Jill went on to play basketball at Wenatchee Valley, the University of Montana, and in a women's leaague in Australia. The Lady Falcons of today have Jill and others of her era to thank for the opportunities and the competition the girls now enjoy today.
