Kara Price-Coleman   Basketball Class of 1981

Kara Price was a 6'2" volleyball and basketball standout who graduated from Hanford High School in 1981. There are many outstanding aspects to Kara's stellar career at Hanford. In basketball alone, she was a three-year starter on the Varsity, first team All-Mid-Valley League for three years, and she averaged seventeen points and seventeen rebounds per game in her senior season.

Kara, at one time, held three State Tournament records: most rebounds in a game (23), most rebounds in three games (51), and in 1981, she broke her own record and gathered sixty-five rebounds in three games at the State Tournament. To cap it off, in 1981, she was chosen as a High School All-American.

Kara went on to play at the Uniniversity of Montana, and returned to to the Tri-Cities to live and teach. Kara is truly one of the Falcons' finest -- a great role model for young women student-athletes.
