Kelly Keve   Soccer Class of 1992

Kelly Keve was a four year starter on the nearly invincible 1988 though 1991 Hanford High School soccer teams. Kelly scored 124 career goals and scored a Falcon record forty-five goals on one season. Kelly led the Mid-Valley League (MVL) in scoring each of her fours on the Falcon squad.

Kelly’s performances are exceptional when you consider the defenses that she had to face, which were specifically designed to stop her. Her Falcon soccer coach Ralph Sanner, described the defenses as “sharks in a feeding frenzy.” Players moving in all directions as she faked one way and went another, and finally popping out of the crowd and out running the defense to score.

Kelly also played basketball at Hanford High School and was a member of the fourth place 1991 State team. In 2000, the local newspaper, Tri-City Herald, named one local outstanding athlete through out the history of Tri-Cities sports for each letter of the alphabet (A through Z). Kelly Keve was the letter “K.”

After graduation, Kelly want on to play soccer at Washington State University and at the University of Arizona, where she was the team captain. Kelly is truly a Falcon student-athlete legend.
