Luke Gailey   Basketball and Football Class of 2000

Luke Gailey was a two way starter on the Hanford football team that shocked the Washington Prep world. His play and leadership at quarterback and safety ended Prosser’s reign as league champions and earned the team NFL team of the week. Luke was athletic, consistent and dominant without seeking to stand out. His team leaned on his steady yet strong play and leadership. Luke earned All-Conference and All-State honors at the safety position.

In basketball, Luke is one of only two four-year starters in the history of HHS boys’ basketball. He was voted both the Mid-Valley League Player of the Year and the Tri-City Herald Athlete of the Year his senior year. Luke was a dominant defender and great team player who helped lead the Falcons to the State Tournament his junior year. He was a consistent team player who is highly respected for his efforts in basketball by both his teammates and coaching staff. Luke was one of the best basketball players in HHS history.
