Jim Van Tuyl   Golf Class of 1975

Jim was the first of many great golfers to play at Hanford High School. He was a power golfer on the course, and an individual with a great sense of humor off the course. He was known to be a great sport and an entertaing member of any foursome. Playing in the first AA State Golf championship on a very wet Longview Country Club golf course, Jim shot an amazing 75, earning him a fourth place finish. Jim went on to make make golf his life's work, holding club pro positions across the the state, including the old Richland golf course known as Sham-Na-Pum (now known as Columbia Point Golf Course).
